i recommend...
online translators. the one where after you google "free online translator" you get like "Free Professional Online Translation" or something idk -- I've found that one to be the best.
watching Japanaese dramas and tv shows with subs -- there's a Korean girl in my class who learned Japanese individually through japanese TV and got into Adv. Japanese I by taking the placement exam. Yeah.

mm could be that it's because you're watching English subs. Korean and Japanese are much much more similar than English vs. Japanese. So I recommend you watch it with Korean subs
